Netflix has officially confirmed that the sixth and concluding season of "The Crown" will debut in the autumn/winter of 2023. Although the exact release date remains undisclosed, based on prior release patterns, we expect the new episodes to be out some time in November.

Initially, there were considerations that season six might be postponed due to a pause in filming following the passing of Queen Elizabeth. Peter Morgan, the show's writer, said this: "The Crown is a heartfelt tribute to her, and at this moment, I have nothing more to contribute but silence and respect. We anticipate halting production as a mark of our reverence".

Netflix has also recently hinted at the upcoming season's focus, revealing that it will span the years 1997 to 2005 and include the death of Princess Diana (Elizabeth Debicki), Prince Charles and Camilla's wedding in 2005 at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, and also feature the early relationship of Prince Harry (Ed McVey) and Kate Middleton (Meg Bellamy).

Viewers can look forward to the return of the following actors: Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II, Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, Olivia Williams as Camilla Parker Bowles, Khalid Abdalla as Dodi Fayed, Salim Daw as Mohamed Al-Fayed, and Bertie Carvel and Lydia Leonard as Tony and Cherie Blair.
